Louie Giglio is Pastor of Passion City Church in Atlanta and is the founder of Passion Conferences. He shares his story of depression and how he found hope in the midst of disappointment, hardship and pain so that he could come out the other side. Louie Giglio shares some of the details of his new book "The Comeback." "It's not too late and you're never too far."
In 2008, Louie suffered a severe panic attack which he referred to as a "breakdown." He felt that he had fallen into a hole, struggling with depression, anxiety, worry, dread and fear. Louie explains that it is very difficult to see potential for change when you feel so trapped in those situations. Although Louie was doing ministry at the time and it was a very successful year for Passion City Church, he was in the middle of a "global economic meltdown," his mother was diagnosed with a debilitating disease which ultimately led to her death and his wife was dealing with a ruptured disk. So desperately trying to take control of the situation, Louie met his downfall.
It was when Louie remembered the scripture from Job, that he began to see the light - "But no one says, ‘Where is God my Maker, who gives songs in the night" Job 35:10. That night Louie began to sing and the Lord slowly led him to the light. Louie describes the healing that he experienced and offers advice to people who are dealing with a similar situation and how we need to make sure we are "retraining our thinking about who God is; not defined by our circumstances, but letting who He is define the circumstances we're in."

Louie Giglio talks a little bit more about his biographical book "The Comeback," and the success that his church in Atlanta was experiencing while he was in the wake of several different personal hardships. Louie explains the vision that he had for the "Passion Student Movement" and how it has come to be a reality.
